I bought these gloves when I first started looking for compression gloves for my arthritic hands. Not only did they appear to be poorly made, the smallest size didn’t even fit my hand, so compression was out of the question. (I have an average size hand, and the small glove had plenty of “extra” room in it when I tried it on.) In addition to the gloves lacking a snug fit, the cut of the glove did not begin to follow the shape of my hand. Everything about these gloves said cheap: fabric, seams, cut and fit. Don’t waste your time or money. Check out the IMAK Arthritis gloves or the Futuro Energizing Support glove instead.

I ordered these as a preventive measure and have been happy with them. With a history of arthritis in my family and a job that requires a lot of typing, I’m a good candidate for a lot of hand pain. Not wanting hand surgery in my future I purchased these to reduce the likelihood of carpel tunnel and slow the arthritis. The fit is a little looser around the wrist than I’d prefer, but otherwise they work well. They are comfortable, lightweight, and not restrictive of movement. The last is a major point since my therapist says that movement is the key to avoiding future problems. Keeping the tendons loose and flexible prevents the pain and stiffness.
The previous reviews seem to confuse ‘compression’ with support. Compression gloves aren’t supposed to constrict the blood flow, but enhance it. A support glove or brace will FEEL like it is compressing the hand, but that’s not what this glove is designed for. If you already have a lot of pain from carpel tunnel, arthritis or similar issues, look for a ‘support’ glove. If you’re trying to prevent future problems and keep flexibility, buy and use these for a week or two. You’ll be surprised how well they work.

These do help, and they are more like light compression gloves. The only problem I had was that after a lot of wear, they can come apart on the edges (easy enough to repair).

I didn’t get these for compression, I got them because I spend all day typing on my computer, and when it’s cold, my hands stiffen up and slow down. They aren’t quite warm enough for the coldest winter days – I still have to wear more wool-like gloves then. But for spring and fall, when it’s not that cold, but your HANDS are, they’re perfect because they’re thin and lightweight. One useful feature is that you can either wear them right-side or inside-out, so whenever I remove them (which is multiple times a day when I’m doing other things besides typing), they’re easy to just peel off from the top, rather than finger-by-finger. They’re washable, and they’re also useful as glove-LINERS, under heavier gloves when you need a little extra warmth. I found these gloves to be a useful product.

I bought these for my father who was having some pain in his hands, but the material was so flimsy, they did not compress at all and rendered completely useless. My weight lifting gloves compressed more than these!! I would recommend buying these from a store so the use can actually try them on first.
