For those who have knee problems and arthritis of the knee there maybe a need in the future to replace the human knee entirely? That is right an artificial knee. Why do so many people have knee problems these days?
Well, consider if you will that your average American is carrying around about an extra twenty pounds of weight these days and what that means over the years to our knees? Additionally the lack of exercise, which along with the food we eat is complimenting this problem; our knees do not have the proper muscles in them to handle our demands.
It is for these reasons that knee replacements are increasing at an astronomical rate. Arthritis of the knee is such a common complaint in fact some say one in five people have it over the age of 55. Luckily science is moving ahead with better and better knee replacements these days. Some is due to soldier injuries and repairs, but most is due to sheer need of our society for replacement knees.
Of course if you end up getting a replacement knee it can cost anywhere from 25,000 to 60,000 depending on what you get and where you go. This means if you have high insurance deductibles you need to be thinking ahead and saving your money and make plans for going easy on your knees for weeks after the operations. Think on this in 2006.
Can consuming Rosemary Tea or large amounts of the herb cause excess body hair?
I came across this bit earlier today and found it a bit odd. However, in doing some searching, I’ve come across a pair of studies from Hungary and some forum entries that entail such a thing occurring. I don’t quite believe it as it sounds like a snake oil affair, but, it does beg the question: Will I turn into a festival of back hair if I continue to drink this tea?
I drink it as I’ve found it beneficial for my joint condition. (a diagnosis of Fibromyalgia or Rheumatoid Arthritis is being worked out at present)
Sorry, the studies were items I read on a friend’s computer and I don’t recall the URL’s for them.
Well Rosemary is an evergreen and is full of an oil, the leaves are like succulents and if you extract the oil, the oil will darken at exposure to light as will oregano and celantro and coriander. Garlic fresh will do the same…….taking it in teas makes the favinoids come out in urine and in sweat and in hair folicules and thus in your arms and leg hair and maybe even you eyebrows and hair close to your scalp…….any herb that has a starch in it will darken your hair………as far as your fibromyalgia goes, have you tried LYRICA for the nerve pain?……that’s what I take…..my room mate smokes pot for her Fibro…..but she has a pot card ( so she’s legal ) I don’t like pot because it makes me stupi and it makes me get a grin on my face that actually hurts after a few hours.
Anyway, Rosemary can make you ill on it’s own, the flavinoid can mess with your liver and kidneys and believe ir or not, “your heart” can be effected as well…….go out and buy a really good ehrb book that tells you not only what the herbs are good for but how toi take them.
