Arthritis Diagnosis

I have bad stomach and cant really take them. Is there anything else out there that could help the pain to diminish it in time? These would include books, exercises, creams, drinks, foods, and all natural herbal rememedies. Please help this once very active 24 year old??? Any suggestions???

Yoga –

You might want to participate in a clinical trial (yoga)

Tai chi would be a good thing to try as well
And finally – massage – see if a local massage school has a clinic where you can receive discount massages, and get one every few weeks when you are not having a flare up.
It might sound expensive – but once its in control you dont have to go as often, and for many people, this helps a great deal

I would try Biofreeze (its a rub, like bengay but stronger) – you can get it through massage warehouse, which is online. Biotone polar lotion is another good one, and sombra as well – thats milder.

I hope you are able to make peace with this diagnosis – in some ways, thats the worst part.

Adequate sunlight. It happens more to women. Try Ayurvedic medicines. My mother has acidity along with the arthritic problem.

yoga

i have fibromyalgia and yoga has helped me more than anything else i’ve tried in 10 years.

I can’t take Nsaids either. Your doctor should be able to give you other medications to try until you find one that works for you with minimum side effects. I take a medicine called Indomethacin that is normally used for gout, but it helps my arthritis pain. Some over the counter drugs might help (Advil, Tylenol). I am only allowed to take Tylenol because of other problems. Try a heating pad, a Jacuzzi tub helps, too. One of the best things that helps me is that we bought a Homedics massager with different settings and my husband gives me an hour massage several times a week. It makes a tremendous difference in how I feel.

Certain foods can aggravate your condition. Pay attention to what you eat and how you feel. Maybe try keeping a food journal. Watch for red flags. A healthy diet is always a good idea.

Weather will probably cause some problems, particularly damp, cold weather.

Good luck.
