do steroid injections and nsaids affect sperm count?

i m a 28 year old female planning to get pregnant….bt of late my husband has some serious wrist problem.. for which doctor tried all treatments and at last administered hydrocortisone injection (which is a steroid)…he was somewhat better wit dat…bt to further decrease the remaining pain he shud be on indometacin and some drugs which are nonsteroidal antiinflammatories…i m worried if steroid injections and these high power analgesics reduce sperm count and affect over plans….reply eagerly awaited

Yes NSAIDS can affect both male and female fertility. You should both speak to your doctor if you are trying to get pregnant, as you may have to wait. If you cant,then he will have to try another anti-inflammatory, although I am taking an NSAID and have been recently told by my doc that there have been some studies going on that are trying to show that they dont affect fertility. See your doctor, thats my best advice. Dont risk it.
